How to play Slingo

What do you get when you cross bingo and slots? Slingo, of course! Slingo is unique style of game that gives you the best of both worlds, and we’re pleased as punch to have some super Slingo games here at Vera&John!

How does Slingo work?

The aim of a Slingo game is complete win lines (tip: they’re called Slingos!). You can complete Slingos by matching the numbers on the top of the reel to the numbers in the grid above. Easy! Just like a standard slot game, you can check out the paytable to figure out what each completed Slingo win line is worth.
Every time you play, you’ll have a fixed number of spins to complete, and extra spins can be purchased when your set has run out.
Aside from winnings from Slingo win lines, you can also win with single coin symbols and scatter combos of 3 or more jokers and super jokers.

How do I play Slingo?

When you open a Slingo game, the first thing you’ll need to do is choose your stake. Remember, the amount you stake will directly affect the available prizes and jackpot, as well as the price of any extra spins you purchase before the game is over.
When you’re happy with your stake, go ahead and click on the ‘Start Game’ button to get the fun started. You’ll get a set of spins (the number of spins per set may vary depending on the game), and different numbers will be drawn during each spin. If you’re lucky, you’ll draw enough matching numbers to collect some complete Slingos!
When your spins are done, you can either collect any prizes you may have earned, or you can choose to continue. If you want to continue your game, you’ll see a button offering one more spin for an extra wagering amount, click this button to draw another round of numbers. You can continue purchasing extra spins one by one until you are satisfied, or you can cash out by clicking on the “Collect” button to collect any winnings you may have earned.

What strategies can I use when playing Slingo?

Slingo strategies often focus on making sure that the joker and super joker symbols are in the best positions possible to help you complete a Slingo win line. Where multiple positions that meet the same criteria are available, the preference is given to the positions that are included in the most Slingos.
For example, the central square would be given preference since it is included in a horizontal, vertical, and two diagonal lines. Where multiple positions with the same criteria exist again, a random choice is made.
We know there’s a lot to learn, but thankfully there’s a handy help section with full game rules within every Slingo game.
